109 Mass Wedding Couples Get Free Excerpt of Marriage Certificate

109 couples get free excerpt of marriage certificates from Jakarta Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil). With this, they are now officially registered in state population administration.

Central Jakarta Mayor, Mangara Pardede said, they actually have been officially married based on religion ways, but they haven't registered in state population administration and civil registration.

"We give free excerpt of marriage certificate thus their marriage is officially registered by state through Dukcapil Sub-dept. according to their domiciles," informed Mangara Pardede after he officially opens mass wedding, Thursday (5/3).

January-June, 375 Marriage Certificates Issued in S. Jakarta

Meanwhile, Jakarta Dukcapil Dept. Head, Edison Sianturi added, those couples are married based on their religion. His side cooperates with religion communities to register it.

"Participants are the result of cooperation socialization with various religious communities. We hope it can be continued," he added.

Those participants are 25 couples from East Jakarta, 27 couples from West Jakarta, 22 couples from South Jakarta, and 17 couples from Central Jakarta.
